"We are holding this sanitary zone": Zelensky explains the value of three months of operation in Kursk region
Ukrainian soldiers have been holding the "sanitary zone" in the Kursk region of Russia for almost three months. This operation is very valuable for replenishing our exchange fund.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening address recorded on Monday, November 4. The video was published on the YouTube channel of the Presidential Office.
Zelensky said that on Monday, he and the military discussed the operation in Kursk region - soon it will be three months of our active operations in this area.
"And this is important - we keep this "sanitary zone" in certain areas near our state border. And we must appreciate the importance of this operation - the Kursk operation - for replenishing our exchange fund. It greatly helped the liberation of our people from Russian captivity," the President noted.
He thanked all the soldiers, sergeants and officers involved in the fighting in Kursk region.
Also on Monday, the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service provided a separate report on the North Korean military in Russia. There are already 11 thousand of them in the Kursk region.
"We see an increase in the number of North Koreans, but we do not see an increase in the reaction of our partners. Unfortunately," the president emphasized.
