The 593rd day of full-scale war has begun in Ukraine, as Ukrainian defenders continue to defend themselves in the east and south, conducting offensive operations at the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions, destroying the occupiers and liberating territories. Over the past day, 37 combat engagements took place at the frontline.

During this time, the troops of the Russian aggressor country attacked from the air six times and fired 29 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian forces and civilian objects. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the military situation in its morning report for October 9.

It is noted that the day before, the occupiers attacked Grabovske in Sumy region; Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region; Novodanylivka, Robotyne and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Beryslav in Kherson region. At the same time, more than 90 villages and towns in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Sumy regions were shelled with artillery.

The situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissya sectors. In the Siversky and Slobozhansky sectors, the enemy continues to carry out sabotage and mine the territory along the border in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

In the Kupiansk sector in Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka; in the Lyman sector in Luhansk region, they repelled four attacks near Makiivka.

The occupants were also prevented from attacking north of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka in the Bakhmut sector.

At the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, the Russian army conducted about 15 unsuccessful attacks near Avdiivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

Theenemy did not conduct any attacks in the Shakhtarsk sector. However, in the Zaporizhzhia sector, it attacked north of Novoprokopivka, which was repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Currently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing their offensive towards Melitopol and are having partial success in this area, particularly west of the village of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region. The defenders are also conducting assault operations in the Bakhmut region, where they are also having success - near the villages of Andriivka and Klishchiyivka. The defenders are gaining a foothold in the occupied lines and are exhausting the Russian army, causing losses in manpower and equipment.

At the same time, in the Kherson sector, our soldiers continue counter-battery combat, eliminating enemy depots and conducting targeted strikes on the enemy's rear.

Over the course of October 8, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out three strikes on the areas of concentration of the invaders. For their part, units of the Armed Forces' missile forces hit three artillery vehicles, two radar stations, two areas of manpower concentration and two ammunition depots of the Russian Armed Forces.
