Ukrainian troops destroy Zoopark radar worth over $10 million in the Tauride sector

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed ''Zoo'' radar in the Tauride sector

The Russian occupation army keeps trying to capture Avdiivka in Donetsk region. The enemy throws a huge amount of manpower and equipment into the battle, but suffers losses.

In a day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminate hundreds of occupants and destroy dozens of pieces of equipment, including rare and expensive ones. This was stated by Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces, during a telethon.

According to him, Ukrainian missile and artillery personnel completed almost 1,500 missions over the last day. Russian invaders lost over 30 pieces of equipment near Avdiivka. In particular, the Zoopark radar station was destroyed. The cost of this equipment reaches 10 million dollars.

"Our artillery is doing a lot. Our rocket launchers and artillerymen carried out almost 1500 fire missions over the last day, 1437 to be exact. Total enemy losses amounted to 615 people over the day. Also, 34 pieces of military equipment were destroyed, including six tanks, seven armored personnel carriers, seven artillery systems, nine UAVs, five vehicles and special equipment. Among the most valuable items, a Russian Zoopark radar worth more than $10 million was destroyed. Over the last three days, 10 occupants surrendered," said Shtupun.

Despite the huge losses, the Russian army continues to move new reserves to Avdiivka. The enemy is pulling personnel to this area directly from the territory of the Russian Federation.

"Due to the huge losses during the fighting, it is in the special forces that the arrival of servicemen directly from the territory of Russia is recorded. As a result, there are more cases when the enemy is not oriented on the terrain and on the battlefield," explained Shtupun.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using drones to flush out enemy manpower from Ukrainian soil. The 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh demonstrated the work of its UAV operators.

Earlier it was reported that attempts by the Russian Armed Forces to advance on Avdiivka led to significant losses in their ranks. In particular, since the beginning of the active phase of attacks in October, the losses of the Russian army have increased by 90%.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Russia relied on a breakthrough of the "armored fist" in the Avdiivka area. However, the enemy failed to implement the plan to surround the settlement in ten days of assaults. The advance of the occupation forces is now insignificant, and the losses are enormous.
