Ukrainian pilots "tested" Gripen fighter in Sweden: the country does not rule out providing these aircraft to the AFU

Ukrainian pilots have been allowed to test-fly Gripen fighter jets in Sweden. According to Defense Minister Paul Johnson, Sweden does not rule out transferring these aircraft to the Ukrainian army.

The pilots have undergone test training, which includes test flights both on the aircraft and on a simulator, the Sveriges Radio newspaper reported.

According to the head of the Swedish Defense Ministry, the ground personnel were also briefed on the operation and maintenance of Gripen fighters.

Johnson said that the experience of test training should become the basis for finding out whether there are conditions for sending Gripen aircraft to Ukraine. At the same time, the Defense Minister added that he did not rule out sending the fighters to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
