In temporarily occupied Crimea, explosions were heard in the early morning of August 24 near the Mayak settlement on Cape Tarkhankut. The mass media wrote that, tentatively, there was a battle involving watercraft and aircraft. Later, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed that it was a joint operation with the AFU Naval Forces.
To fulfill the task, the Ukrainian military raided the territory of the peninsula. This was reported to OBOZREVATEL by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry Andriy Yusov.
"All tasks of the raid are fulfilled, there are no losses in equipment and personnel from our side," - said the employee of the intelligence Department.
Earlier in the"Crimea.Realia" said that the explosions occurred in the specified area around 5:00 on Thursday.
It is noteworthy that Mayak is located near the settlement Olenevka, where a day earlier was destroyed Russian anti-aircraft missile system S-400 "Triumf".
According to mass media information, in Mayak village there is a base of the 3rd radio-technical regiment within the radio-technical troops of the Russian Air and Space Forces. Also on the Tarkhankut peninsula there is a radar node of the Nebo-M radar and the Kasta-2E2 radar. Air defense positions have been prepared along the perimeter.
