Medusa investigators reported that the Russian authorities are developing a system of "re-education" and digital control over children illegally taken from Ukraine to Russia after the start of the large-scale invasion. Among other things, the occupiers convince little Ukrainians that their parents are dead.

The "re-education" program is aimed at indoctrinating Ukrainian children and convincing them that they will not return to their native land.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- The SSU has served suspicion notices in absentia to two more Ukrainian citizens involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children to the territory of the aggressor country, Russia. This refers to an episode of forced transfer across the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and the subsequent deportation to Russia of 15 pupils of the then seized (July 2022) Novopetrivsk Special School in Mykolaiv region.

- Earlier, the United States officially announced that it had joined the International Coalition created to return children who were illegally deported by Russia to Ukraine. This coalition of nations was also created to ensure that all those responsible for this crime are brought to justice.
