Ukrainian Armed Forces steadfastly hold defense on the left bank of Kherson region: 12 enemy attacks repelled over the last day - General Staff

The 670th day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine continues. Over the last day, 76 combat engagements took place, 12 of which took place on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are steadfastly holding the line, continuing to hold their positions and inflicting fire on the enemy. This is stated in the daily report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"There were 76 combat engagements over the last day. The enemy launched 1 missile and 19 air strikes, fired 30 times from multiple rocket launchers at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks resulted in civilian casualties. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged," the statement said.

It is also noted that the occupiers did not remain unanswered: during the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 4 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, and the units of the missile forces struck 4 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 ammunition depots and 3 enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected. Designated units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

On the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. More than 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy, including: Volfine Ryasne, Sadky in Sumy region; Ivashky, Udy, Vovchansk, Budarky, Ambarne in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 enemy attacks near the town of Synkivka in Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops. About 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including: Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, the Defense Forces repelled 24 enemy attacks near Serebryanske forestry, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Vesele, Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas: Terny, Dibrova, Siversk, Vyymka, Spirne, Vesele in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including: Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Serebryanka, Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Donetsk region. About 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including: Vasyukivka, Kalynivka, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, our defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and another 12 attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy also launched an air strike near Novobakhmutivka, Donetsk region. About 10 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including: Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomayske in the Donetsk region.

In the Mariinka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, launched three unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our defenders. The following settlements of the Donetsk region came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers: Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka and Kostyantynivka.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Staromayorsk, Donetsk region. About 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including: Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhayne, Staromayorske in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to force our units out of their positions. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including: Levadne, Malynivka, Gulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Pyatikhatky in Zaporizhzhya region.

In the Kherson sector, the following areas came under enemy artillery fire in the area of responsibility of the Odesa separate military unit: Tyahynka, Antonivka, Kherson and Solonchaky, Kutsurub in Mykolaiv region.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that during the 22 months of the full-scale war with the Russian occupation army, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 353,950 occupants. Also, during this time, the enemy army was deprived of 5.8 thousand tanks and more than 650 airplanes and helicopters.
