Ukrainian Armed Forces start using FPV drones with auto-guidance on the front line: what is known about them Video

Ukrainian defenders are now armed with FPV drones with an automatic targeting and destruction system. However, they are still few and far between, and money is needed to purchase more of the drones that have already been produced and to further improve this system.

The soldiers of the 60th and 63rd separate mechanized brigades have already had the opportunity to use the new machine vision system. The video was posted by volunteer Serhiy Sternenko.

The video shows that the drone's targeting system is fixed on the target, but the enemy's electronic warfare means cut off communication with it. However, the drone still continues to attack the target in automatic mode.

Sternenko noted that the technology is new and needs to be refined and scaled up. That is why he launched a fundraiser to purchase such drones, and promised to give part of the money raised to the developers for improvement.

The volunteer added that as soon as the technology is fully ready, the state will be involved in its purchase to further scale production.

It is reported that Russians have been testing this technology for over a month. Accordingly, its accelerated development and scaling in Ukraine is essential.

It is believed (and this is a rather optimistic estimate) that 3-4 conventional FPV drones are needed to hit a target, as not all of them reach the target due to the effects of EW. However, the autoguided drone not only ignores EW, but also reduces the requirements for operator training.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces received a batch of modern d rones from the Favbet Foundation. The aid package worth more than 1.7 million includes 10 DJI Mavic 3 and 5 DJI Mavic 3T with a thermal imaging camera.

After drone attacks on Russian refineries forced Russia to impose a ban on gasoline exports, Moscow is trying to increase sales of crude oil abroad. However, soon oil exports from Russia may also fall along with its production volumes, as there will be nowhere to store the raw materials.
