Ukrainian Air Force said Russia launched six Kinzhal cruise missiles at Ukraine for the first time: how enemy tactics have changed

Previously, the enemy had not used such a large number of these missiles during the shelling of Ukraine. The spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yurii Ihnat, reported about it on Channel 24.

According to him, during the large-scale attack, the enemy used various missiles, as well as Iranian-made kamikaze drones. Yurii Ihnat emphasized that the terrorist country had never launched such an attack before.

"The attack is really large-scale and for the first time with missiles of this type. This time we see as many as 6 "Kinzhal" cruise missiles. I don't recall such an attack before. Different aircraft were used. As of today, we have a total of 81 missile launches," Ihnat said.

In addition, the aggressor has launched many missiles at Ukraine, which the available air defense systems are not yet able to counter. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders shot down most of the Kh-101/Kh-555 and Kalibr cruise missiles.

"We can't shoot down Kh-22 missiles, we can't shoot down Kinzhal missiles, and we can't shoot down S-300 missiles either. We have no means to counter these weapons, so they pose a danger to us. In total, 34 out of 48 cruise missiles were shot down, and 4 out of 8 Shahed UAVs," the Air Force spokesman added.

As a reminder, on the night of March 9, Russia massively attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones and missiles, resulting in strikes to power facilities, injuries, and deaths.
