Earlier it was reported that in the occupied Crimea around 14:30 on Friday, March 1, powerful explosions were heard. An air raid was declared in Sevastopol, Yevpatoriya and Saki, and the occupiers raised a smoke screen over Sevastopol Bay. The Crimean bridge and the Dzhankoy checkpoint were closed.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, military expert Vladyslav Selezniov predicted that the occupiers would not restore the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, which was destroyed in a strike in September 2023. The invaders are currently unable to provide reliable protection of this building from Ukrainian attacks.
