Ukraine has signed agreements with Denmark for the purchase of weapons worth half a billion euros: what is known

Denmark will pay for the purchase of weapons and military equipment from Ukrainian defense companies. The agreements cover a total amount of approximately EUR 535 million.

A number of implementation agreements with the Danish Ministry of Defense were signed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine. These documents finalize the agreements outlined in the Letter of Intent signed in late September in Kyiv, the Defense Ministry's press service explained.

As a result, domestic defense companies (both state-owned and private) will supply the Armed Forces with self-propelled artillery systems, attack drones, anti-tank weapons, and missile weapons, said Hlib Kanevskyi, director of the Procurement Policy Department.

Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov noted that Denmark was the first country to purchase weapons directly from our defense companies.

"I am sincerely grateful to the Danish government and the entire nation for their continued and consistent support. We appreciate that Denmark sets an example in the development of Ukraine's defense industry. This will speed up the supply of necessary weapons to our military while strengthening the Ukrainian economy in the face of Russian aggression. It is extremely important for us to have such a reliable ally as Denmark," said Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Hanna Hvozdiar.

We would like to add that Ukraine has already received 50 million euros thanks to the Danish model, which provides direct financing to manufacturers. These funds were used to finance the production of "Bohdana" self-propelled artillery systems for the Armed Forces.
