On the evening of November 4 at 17:20, Ukraine fired two SCALP-EG cruise missiles at the Askold small missile ship of the 22800 Karakurt project of the Russian Armed Forces. As a result of the hit, the ship's bow was damaged, as well as the vertical launchers of the Kalibr-NK missiles that Russia uses to attack Ukraine.
This was reported by the Dossier of the Spy Telegram channel, which is run by an employee of one of the special services. It was clarified that the damaged boat belongs to the 41st Sevastopol Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy (military unit 72165, Sevastopol).
According to the channel's source, the crew of the Askold was not officially injured - they managed to evacuate after the air raid was announced.
As for the Zaliv shipyard, which was also hit by missiles that evening, five of its employees disappeared after the strike. There is no contact with them, and their whereabouts are unknown.
It should be added that footage of the moment of the strike on the Russian boat, as well as its aftermath, has been circulated online, where you can see the damage sustained by the Askold.
"On November 27, the Askold small missile ship was supposed to be officially handed over to the Russian Navy and put into service. Apparently, the event has been postponed indefinitely," the channel's author notes.
As a reminder, on November 4, Ukraine attacked Russian military facilities in Kerch in occupied Crimea. The missiles hit the Zaliv shipyard and the Karakurt missile boat.
