Three Tu-95MS aircraft damaged: new details of the night attack on Russian airfields

As a result of a joint operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three military airfields in the territory of the aggressor country of Russia were attacked on the night of April 5. In particular, the airfields of Yeysk, Engels, and Kursk were attacked, and the occupiers suffered losses of personnel and aircraft.

This was reported by OBOZ.UA sources. According to preliminary information, two Su-25 aircraft were completely destroyed as a result of a UAV strike on the airfield in Yeysk, Krasnodar Territory, Russia, and four occupiers were killed.

At the Engels-2 airfield near the city of Engels, Saratov region, three Tu-95MS strategic bombers were allegedly seriously damaged.

There are also preliminary reports of seven enemy personnel killed, including strategic bomber pilots.

The military airfield in Kursk was also attacked.

As a reminder, the occupiers also suffered losses at the airfield in Morozovsk, Rostov region, which was also attacked by drones at night. According to OBOZ.UA's sources, at least six aircraft were destroyed there, and eight more were heavily damaged. This airbase is home to Su-27 and Su-34 frontline bombers that drop chemical warheads on Ukraine.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

– On Friday night, explosions were heard in Engels, where the airbase is located, from which planes take off to bomb Ukraine. Local authorities claimed that the UAV was allegedly destroyed "without casualties or damage."

–  It was also loud in Morozovsk, Rostov region, where an attack on the airfield was reported. Governor Golubev said that Russian air defense forces were repelling a "massive UAV attack."

–  Morozovsk was allegedly home to nearly 30 " drones" from which Russia is launching bombing strikes on the Ukrainian front.

–  Late the night before, the Russian Federation complained about an attack by an aircraft-type UAV in the Kursk region. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the elimination of eight drones in the region.
