Our partners are cautious in providing weapons not because they do not want to strengthen Ukraine. The reason for the delays in the supply of military aid is that the world was not prepared for this war.

Because of this, countries cannot provide themselves with everything they need, and because of this, they cannot provide us with everything we need. This was stated by military expert Serhiy Hrabskyi in an interview with OBOZ.Talk.

"Weapons and military equipment production and operational procedures are being deployed, NATO exercises are being conducted, and they realize that they are currently unable to provide both for themselves and us. But to say that they do not want to help us is categorically wrong," he said.

Hrabskyi reminded us that Denmark has given us all its artillery. Estonia has also provided even more assistance than is possible - in fact, today it is completely dependent on the extent to which NATO countries are ready to defend it. Poland, meanwhile, is increasing its defense budget many times over.

"The countries of the European Union, including, for example, Lithuania, are introducing compulsory military service. A tremendous amount of work is being done, but it takes time and a lot of money. Plus, even money can't help with everything, because there is a lack of technology," the expert says.

According to him, we are now in a situation where our Western partners are trying to increase their combat potential as quickly as possible. And this applies not only to the West, but also to the aggressor country, Russia, which is also suffering.

"It is Russia that desperately wants these talks to begin, to fix the situation, to give it at least some respite to prepare. That's why the situation is ambiguous, we are just at a point in time when it is impossible to say what will happen next, how it will develop. But we need to draw very cautious conclusions from what is happening because not everything depends on the willingness or unwillingness of our Western allies or us," Hrabskyi summarized.

As previously reported, the Netherlands announced that it was lifting restrictions on Ukraine's use of the transferred weapons. Thus, F-16 fighters also have no range restrictions.
