The Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in the Bakhmut direction and inflicted damage to the Russian occupiers. Ukrainian defenders destroyed the enemy mortar "Vasilok" and a train of ammunition load.

This was reported by the commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky. He noted that new losses to the invaders were inflicted by the 45th Independent Artillery Brigade and 57th Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade.

"We have an advance near Bakhmut and it continues. We are moving," emphasized Syrsky.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine also reported that the other day the border guards disarmed a group of infantry and ammunition of the Russian occupation troops. The invaders were attacked by air reconnaissance and mortar men.

Thanks to UAV observation, the border guards established the front edge of the enemy's combat order, places of concealment and the movement of its personnel. Having obtained sufficient data for combat work, the mortar crews began to carry out a firing mission to destroy the reconnaissance facilities of the enemy stronghold.

With mortar fire the Ukrainian defenders covered the enemy's concentration area in this direction, as a result three occupants were killed and four more wounded. In addition to the destruction of manpower, the invaders' ammunition, which had been stockpiled in the ruined structure, was also blown up. After the fire raid, the rest of the occupants withdrew from their positions.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, on June 24, soldiers of the AFU addressed the Russian invaders in the Bakhmut direction. Using loudspeakers, they were urged to return home while they were still alive.

Earlier, Syrsky had confirmed for the first time that the main forces of the AFU offensive reserve had not yet entered the battle with Russia. He noted that Ukrainian defenders were scouting the battle, discovering the enemy's weak points.
