The General Staff named the ratio of losses of Russians and the Armed Forces in the battles in the Kursk region

The troops of the aggressor state of Russia are suffering heavy losses in the battles in the Russian Kursk region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting an operation. The ratio of losses between Ukraine and Russia is approximately one to seven (more losses for the occupiers).

This was stated by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatolii Barhylevych during a telethon on Sunday, November 24. According to him, the Russians suffer enormous losses in this area, many times more than the Defense Forces.

"The enemy's losses are one to six, one to seven. These are enormous losses," Barhylevych said.

It should be noted that in a recent interview with Glavkom, Bargylevich said that as of November 2024, the losses of Russian troops in the Kursk direction amounted to almost 21 thousand soldiers. Almost 8,000 of them have been killed, and more than 700 occupants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been captured. More than a thousand pieces of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed.

According to him, in total, about 50 thousand elite enemy troops are fighting in the Kursk region, including marines and airborne troops, and almost 11 thousand North Korean troops have been brought there.

"For them (Russians – Ed.), this is a fundamental issue, the Kursk region. Intense fighting is going on there. Compared to other areas, the fighting in Kursk is quite heavy. Everyone understands that not just infantry is fighting there, but elite Russian infantry and paratroopers. But we are holding our positions there. We are conducting maneuver battles, holding the territory and, believe me, quite successfully," the Chief of the General Staff said.

Bargylevich also said that there are more than 11,000 soldiers from North Korea in the Kursk region. The DPRK military has already engaged in combat with Ukrainian soldiers.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on November 24, the General Staff informed that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have inflicted significant losses in manpower on the Russian army – 730,740 occupiers were killed and wounded. About 1,020 invaders were added to this list during the last day's fighting.
