In the Kursk region, near Sudzha, the first African mercenary who fought on the side of the terrorist country of Russia was killed. Derrick Ngamana, 32, was a member of the assault company of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet.
This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel. They noted that this brigade suffered significant losses in the battles in the Kursk region.
"On November 15, 2024, a citizen of the Central African Republic (CAR), Derrick Ngamana, was killed in the battles for the village of Novoivanovka in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. His death was also confirmed by a source close to the command of the marine brigade. According to him, "enough" Africans may be fighting in the Kursk region, but he does not know exactly how many," the statement reads.
It is known that Ngamana is the first citizen of the Central African Republic to be identified among the dead in the Kursk region. Previously, he served in the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) and held the rank of corporal.
Ngamana's younger brother said that he signed a contract with the Russian occupation army in September 2024 and went to war in Ukraine. According to him, Ngamana explained his decision to go to kill Ukrainians by his desire to provide his own children with a better future.
As a reminder, Russian commanders mock foreign mercenaries and send them to their deaths. This was stated by war criminal Serbian Dejan Beric, who in 2014 helped the Russian army occupy Crimea and then served as a sniper in Donbas.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on January 9, Zelenskyy said that the DPRK troops fighting for dictator Vladimir Putin have already lost about 4000 people in the Kursk region. Presumably, these are the dead and wounded. The Kremlin leader has to raise the stakes and hire soldiers from North Korea to continue the war against Ukraine.
