The enemy got caught in a "fire bag" in Velyka Novosilka: details from the Defense Forces
Defense forces continue the battle for Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region. The Russians in the town are suffering from artillery and FPV attacks: they are caught in a "fire bag."
Thanks to the attacks of Ukrainian soldiers, the invaders cannot advance, while they are forced to constantly reinforce their units in the town. The situation in Velyka Novosilka as of February 2, 2025, was reported by the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Lieutenant General Marko Bezruchko.
"The enemy is trapped! What is happening in Velyka Novosilka? The battle for the town continues. The enemy has been caught in a firebomb. He can't move any further, but at the same time he is forced to reinforce his units in the town," the statement said.
The 110th Brigade added that Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance is actively working in the area of Velyka Novosilka. UAV operators are tracking and recording the movement and location of the occupiers.
"Then FPV and artillery come into play, laying waste to the basements where the enemy is holed up, burying them alive. Now the enemy does not understand what to do. The effect of the propaganda "flag planting" is over, but Muscovites have not stopped dying," the brigade summarized.
They also showed footage of enemy units being defeated: both the Russian invaders and their equipment are going to hell.
As a reminder, the day before, Russia's losses in manpower amounted to 1,320 occupants.
And the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that in January alone, 15 thousand Russian invaders were in the Pokrovsk direction of the Armed Forces. Irreversible enemy losses in the battles for Pokrovsk in January amounted to about 7 thousand Russians.
