The Air Force showed how to destroy enemy missiles, planes and drones: in the footage noticed an interesting nuance with Patriot. Video
On Monday, July 3, Ukraine celebrates Anti-Aircraft Missile Forces Day. The air forces showed how their various units destroy air targets of the Russian occupiers on a daily basis.
The corresponding video published the press service of the Armed Forces. It is noted that the invaders most wanted to destroy the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense, but it failed. Our defenders are getting better at shooting down the Russian shells with which the occupiers are trying to attack the territory of our state.
"We stood our ground and fired! The Rashists wanted to destroy our air defenses more than anything else! They wanted an easy walk in the Ukrainian skies. And they hit the anti-aircraft missile forces ... But we stood up ... And shot ... And they got it," the message reads.
The footage, in particular, shows the operators of different air defense systems: "S-300" air defense system, "Buk-M1" air defense system, air defense system NASAMS, air defense system Iris-T, air defense system Patriot. The video also demonstrates how lists of destroyed Russian air targets are kept, in particular, special marks are made by Ukrainian sky defenders directly on the air defense equipment.
It is noteworthy that one of the shots shows the targets shot down by the Patriot division, including three helicopters and two planes, which were shot down, as seen by the date, May 13, 2023.
Interestingly, three military helicopters and two planes went down that day in the Bryansk region.
"Today the soldiers of the anti-aircraft missile forces continue to beat the occupant in the Ukrainian sky with the most modern weapons in the world," the Air Force summarized.
On the night of July 3, the Russian occupation forces carried out a massive air attack on Ukraine, using 17 Shahed-136/131 strike drones. Our defenders shot down 13 Shaheds in the skies over different regions with air defense forces and means, while the rest failed to reach their targets.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on the night of July 2, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles, in Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhya air defense worked on enemy targets. Sky defenders also shot down all Russian drones flying at Kiev.
In total, air defense forces destroyed all 11 enemy targets in the sky over Ukraine. These were eight Shahed-136/131 UAVs and three Kalibr cruise missiles.
