Sweden's CV-90 IFVs to be produced in Ukraine: what the countries have agreed on

Sweden and Ukraine have agreed that Swedish CV-90 infantry combat vehicles will be manufactured in our country. Stockholm earlier transferred an unnamed quantity of this equipment to the AFU free of charge.
This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine on the official website, as well as the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson. The Ukrainian leader went on a working visit to Sweden on August 19.
"Today we discussed the agreement on the production of CV-90 in Ukraine, its repair and other relevant topics. We will do everything possible to make the first CV-90 produced in Ukraine as soon as possible," Zelensky said.
The President added that our military praised the CV-90 BMP when he visited them on the frontline.
Kristersson said that the sides will strengthen cooperation both in terms of production and training on CV-90.
The press service of the Office of the President wrote that Kyiv and Stockholm have intentions to strengthen cooperation on production, operation, training of operators and maintenance of the vehicle.
"Knowing that the CV-90 is a highly effective and modern combat vehicle, Ukraine and Sweden are convinced that further cooperation on the CV-90 IFVs will be mutually beneficial... and will contribute to the formation of competencies and further development of Western weaponry. It will also open up opportunities for further and closer cooperation in the future," the two sides said in a joint statement.
Stockholm also reiterated its commitment to support Kyiv as long as necessary.
It is known that Gripen jets were also discussed during Zelensky's visit to Sweden. These are Swedish fighter jets that the AFU Air Force aims to get.
It is stated that our pilots have started tests, but the issue of their transfer has not yet been resolved.
"We also spoke about the Gripen jets. These are Sweden's famous jets. Our pilots have begun the tests. Today we spoke about our further steps to be able to receive Swedish Gripen in detail," the Ukrainian President said.
As OBOZREVATEL wrote, it became known that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived with a working visit to Sweden on August 19. Defense cooperation and European integration of Ukraine are the main topics on the agenda.
