SSU drones repeatedly hit "Andreapol" oil refinery in Tver region of Russia – source
On the night of Thursday, February 13, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine struck again at the "Andreapol" oil pumping station in the Tver region of the Russian Federation. It is part of the Baltic Pipeline System 2.
The attack resulted in a fire near the switchgear and boiler equipment warehouse, and the station's operation was temporarily suspended. OBOZ.UA learned about this from its own sources.
"On the night of February 13, SSU drones hit the 'Andreapol' oil pumping station, which is an important component of the Baltic Pipeline System-2. The drone strike caused a fire in the area of a closed switchgear and a boiler equipment warehouse. Oil pumping by the station was temporarily suspended," the source said.
This is the second successful attack by Ukrainian drones on this facility. The first strike, on January 29, damaged the filtration pumping area, additive tanks, and spilled oil products, which also led to a fire.
According to a source in the SSU, every day of downtime at this station causes millions of dollars in losses to Russia, as it ensures the transportation of oil to the "Ust-Luga" terminal on the Baltic Sea. The special service emphasized that drone attacks on Russian oil infrastructure will continue.
Earlier, on the night of January 29, a large-scale drone strike in the Tver region hit not only the "Andreapol" but also the 23rd arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate in the village of Zhovtneve. More than 20 drones hit an ammunition depot and an adjacent military unit, causing significant damage.
Later it became known that these explosions took place thanks to the work of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces. The drone attacks were successful.
On the night of February 13, explosions occurred in the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation. According to preliminary data, the cities of Lipetsk and Yelets came under attack. After the powerful explosions, a power outage was recorded in the regional center.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of February 10, Russia again complained about a UAV attack. In particular, drones were spotted in the Krasnodar Territory, explosions were heard there, and occupant air defense was allegedly operating.
