U.S. Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, a native of Ukraine, refuses to support any other funding for Kyiv, except for lethal aid. At the same time, she sets the conditions for measures to protect the US border

Spartz announced this in her account on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. She made the post after Speaker Mike Johnson announced his proposal for funding for allies, including Ukraine.

Spartz stated that she was not ready to vote for any other funding for Kyiv, except for the supply of weapons. She emphasized that she only supports "providing lethal assistance" and not "sending money to the Ukrainian government."

"I will not support sending money to the Ukrainian government – only lethal aid," she wrote.

In addition, she said that Johnson's package should include measures to secure the US border with Mexico. Otherwise, she will refuse to support the package at all.

"We must pick the hills we are going to die on and take them. Our southern border is just such a hill. As I have said many times, if Speaker Johnson's package does not include border security measures, I will not support it," Spartz said.
