Russians shell Kharkiv region with ballistic missiles: they hit the Nova Poshta terminal, killing 6 people. Photos and videos
On the evening of Saturday, October 21, the aggressor country Russia once again struck the Kharkiv region with ballistic missiles, explosions were heard in the regional center. The enemy struck the Nova Poshta (a postal company) terminal in the village of Korotych, there are dead and wounded.
This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov. "Kharkiv is hearing explosions. The city is being attacked by enemy missiles," he wrote. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, also informed about the attack. "For the attention of residents of Kharkiv and the region: the occupiers are striking. Stay in shelters," he called.
Later, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russians had attacked the Nova Poshta terminal in Kharkiv region. According to him, the shelling resulted in deaths and 13 injuries (to see photos and videos, scroll to the bottom of the page).
"All services are working at the site, the rescue operation is underway," the guarantor added. He emphasized that once again a civilian facility came under enemy fire.
The regional military administration reported that 6 people were killed as a result of the occupiers' attack on the Nova Poshta terminal in Kharkiv district. The number of injured increased to 14 people, they were hospitalized. Some of the wounded are in serious condition.
Later, Syniehubov said that all 6 dead and 14 injured as a result of the occupiers' attack were employees of the company who were inside the Nova Poshta terminal. The debris is currently being cleared at the site of the attack.
On the night of October 22, the Kharkiv regional police reported that the number of victims had increased to 16.
"As of 02:30, it is known that 22 people were on the territory of the terminal, 6 of them were killed and 16 were injured. Investigators, together with criminalists and forensic experts, are examining the bodies of the victims," the statement said.
What is known about the condition of the injured and dead
The victims, aged 19 to 43, sustained shrapnel wounds and blast injuries.
Among those hospitalized, 7 people are in moderate condition, and another 7 men are in serious condition, and doctors are fighting for their lives.
Mykhailo Tsap, head of police department No. 2 of the Kharkiv district police department, told Suspilne that dozens of people were in the Nova Poshta terminal at the time of the Russian strike. The bodies of two of the victims were badly mutilated, so their identities will have to be established through DNA testing.

The company's official Facebook page has posted a message that Nova Poshta is declaring October 22 a day of mourning for those killed in the Russian attack.
"Kharkiv Innovation Terminal. A rocket has just hit it. There are dead and wounded, including seriously injured. They didn't have a chance to run for cover because the sirens sounded seconds before. We are currently providing medical assistance to all the victims, and we are in touch with hospitals and the families of the victims. But this, of course, will not bring our people back. Our condolences go out to everyone.
Tomorrow, Nova Poshta announces a day of mourning. We will work and honor every fallen hero of Nova Poshta. Every person who died in this war," the statement said.
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned of the threat of ballistic missile attacks on Kharkiv region. Monitoring channels wrote that the enemy had traditionally hit Kharkiv with S-300 missiles. Later, the Kharkiv police confirmed that fragments of such missiles were found at the site of the hit.
According to preliminary data, one of the missiles launched by the occupiers in Kharkiv region fell on the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of October 21, Russian occupation forces attacked the village of Molodizhne of the Kherson city territorial community. The attack hit a local school.
