On the morning of December 25, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. In particular, the Russians attacked thermal power plants.

The enemy severely damaged DTEK equipment. This was stated by the company itself.

"Today, Russia has carried out another massive terrorist attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. DTEK's thermal power plants were targeted. The massive attack severely damaged the equipment of the TPPs. After the shelling ended, the energy company promptly started to repair it," the company said.

DTEK added that this is the thirteenth Russian attack on the Ukrainian energy sector since the beginning of the year. Ten enemy strikes have resulted in substantial damage to the company's facilities.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been shelled more than 200 times.

As a reminder, Russia launched both cruise and ballistic missiles at Ukraine on Christmas Day, with explosions reported in Dnipro and Kharkiv. In the latter, several districts were hit, and civilians were injured. Fires have broken out at the impact sites, and there is also destruction.
