Russia replenishes missile stockpiles: DIU on what to prepare for in winter

DIU says Russians replenish missile stockpiles ahead of winter

A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that the Russians are now replenishing their missile stockpiles in preparation for winter. However, Russia will not be able to accumulate an "incredible amount" anymore.

This means that the enemy will not be able to return to the level of missile stockpiles that it had in early 2022. Yusov said this on the air of the United News TV marathon on Tuesday, October 24.

"They don't have the stockpiles of missiles they had before February 24, 2022. And we have seen when they could launch 100 or more missiles in one strike. This has not happened for a long time. At the same time, the fact that we talk about the risks means that the country is preparing," he said.

The DIU representative emphasized that the long absence of massive missile attacks by the Russian Federation indicates that the enemy is not only waiting for the right moment to strike again but is also accumulating the necessary weapons.

However, the Russian Federation is not even close to replenishing the stockpiles it had before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. They continue to produce and accumulate a certain number of missiles, but the scale is not the same. There are more Kaliber and fewer Kinzhal missiles, but they are still producing them," Yusov says.

"And yes, we are on the verge of a new heating season. And since the terrorist state has not disappeared, it is obvious that the attacks we saw last winter may happen again," DIU warned.

Earlier, we wrote that the aggressor country Russia is changing the tactics of air strikes against Ukraine. Now the enemy is using Shahed drones and missiles under the cover of homemade "lawnmower" drones. The type of this new drone has not yet been officially identified.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- Russian occupants have transferred a batch of modernized missiles to the S-300 complexes near the city of Bryansk. The enemy's goal is to strike the territory near the Ukrainian border.

- With the onset of cold weather, Russia will almost certainly target Ukraine's energy infrastructure again to deprive Ukrainians of heat and light in winter. However, our country, with the help of partners, is strengthening its air defense system. Read more about the systems that will protect Ukraine's skies in winter here.
