Russia must be completely defeated just like Germany in 1945: French expert warns EU against half-measures

The terrorist state of Russia, which continues the war against Ukraine, must be completely defeated just as Nazi Germany was in 1945. To do this, Europe must stop using half-measures in helping to repel Russian aggression.

This opinion was expressed by Nicholas Tenzer, Senior Research Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA). He warned EU leaders of the danger of "war fatigue".

"The fact is that the outcome of the war will essentially be something like the moment of 1945. Either we win or we lose," said the French civil servant, scholar and writer.

He emphasized that by "we" he means not only Ukraine but also Europe as well.

In his opinion, the outcome of this war will determine the fate of the whole world for the next decades.

"In fact, this is not a zero-sum game, there can be no half-measures," Tenzer said, warning of the danger of "war fatigue" among EU leaders even though European citizens, in his opinion, are concerned about the Russian threat.

He says that the outcome of the war cannot be a "half-defeat" for Russia or a "half-victory" for Ukraine.

"Russia must be completely defeated just like Germany and Japan in 1945," Tenzer reiterated.
