Russia has suffered significant losses on the front: statistics for the week have been published

During the second week of 2024, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 5,270 Russian occupiers. The occupation army also lost 534 pieces of weapons and military equipment.

In particular, almost a hundred enemy artillery systems were destroyed, and the new results exceeded the figures for the first week of 2024 in terms of the number of destroyed armored personnel carriers and tanks. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavliuk summarized the results of the week in terms of Russia's losses in Ukraine.

He noted that from January 7 to January 14, Ukrainian soldiers killed 5,270 Russian invaders on the front line (for comparison, from December 31 to January 7, about 5,500 occupants were eliminated).

The defenders also destroyed 534 units of enemy military equipment and weapons (954 units were destroyed a week earlier).

In particular, Russia lost:

• 53 tanks (45 were destroyed a week earlier)
• 122 armored combat vehicles (compared to 110 in the first week of the new year)

• 94 artillery systems (last week - 189)
• 6 MLRS (against 8 a week earlier)
• 11 air defense systems (there were 14)
• 144 units of vehicles (231 units last week)
• 26 units of special equipment (59 units the week before).

"In addition, our defenders destroyed 28 missiles and 50 UAVs," Pavliuk said.

A week earlier, he reported the destruction of 77 missiles and 220 UAVs.

It was also reported that as of the morning of January 14, the irrecoverable losses of manpower of the Russian army reached 370,000. On January 13 alone, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 840 occupants overnight.
