Russia has increased its stockpile of precision missiles, boosting production rates: figures revealed
The Russian occupation forces had about 870 high-precision operational and strategic missiles in reserve, according to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine since early November. Apparently, the aggressor country was able to accelerate production rates and achieve higher performance than previously predicted.
This was stated by the American Institute for the Study of War. Its new analytical report on Russia's war against Ukraine was published on the morning of November 7 on the ISW website.
Experts drew attention to the information provided by Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Defense Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense. On November 6, he estimated the enemy's stockpile at 870 high-precision operational and strategic missiles.
On August 28, Skibitsky said that the Russian armed forces had a total of 585 long-range missiles in reserve. Since August, the Russian Armed Forces have increased their missile reserves by 285 units.
In November, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine learned that the occupiers produced a total of 115 long-range precision missiles in October.
- 30 cruise missiles "Iskander-M";
- 12 cruise missiles "Iskander-K";
- 20 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 40 X-101 cruise missiles;
- 9 cruise missiles X-32;
- 4 ballistic "Daggers".
At the end of August, Skibitskyi said that the aggressor state's defense enterprises were struggling to produce several dozen missiles of specific types per month due to a lack of foreign components.
"The increase in Russian reserves by 285 missiles since the end of August (of which 115 were produced in October alone) indicates that Russia has increased domestic missile production faster than projected," ISW said.
As OBOZ.UA wrote earlier:
- "The Russian Federation's troops have begun to use aerial bombs very actively to strike frontline settlements and positions of the Defense Forces. Recently, the number of bombs launched by the enemy per day could exceed 50, said Yuriy Ihnat, a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- He also warned that since the enemy at this stage of the war mostly resorts to single missile strikes, it is likely to accumulate weapons for future large-scale attacks.
