Russia has engaged two regular armies in Avdiivka, the situation is critical - Third Assault Brigade

The situation in Avdiivka is more complicated than in Bakhmut at the most critical moment

Russia has deployed two regular armies to fight in Avdiivka, with a 7-to-1 ratio of forces. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are holding defensive positions in the city.

The situation is deteriorating every hour. This was reported by the press officer of the third separate assault brigade Oleksandr Borodin during a telethon.

According to him, the situation in Avdiivka is critical, the enemy is increasing pressure. Borodin clarified that the ratio of forces of the occupiers and Ukraine at the level of brigades is 7 to 1.

"We are holding our defensive positions. The task is difficult precisely because of the ratio (of forces - ed.) and the enemy's infinite amount of resources... The enemy has constant support, instead of an unwound battalion, another one comes in and there is no horizon that they may run out of people and resources," he said.

The spokesman added that the situation in Avdiivka is more complicated than in Bakhmut at the most critical moment.

"The enemy has a huge number of CABs and equipment. "In Wagner, they were taking care of the equipment, they were mostly manned, while here it is tank attacks with infantry. A large number of armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, aircraft, FPV drones. This was not the case in Bakhmut during the Wagnerian period," he explained.

In addition, the occupiers are now increasing the use of guided aerial bombs and phosphorus bombs. They cause fuel oil tanks to catch fire. Poisonous smog is spreading throughout the plant.

The invaders are also shelling the Defense Forces with artillery and MLRS day and night, dropping aircraft bombs, assaulting with armored vehicles and invading enemy infantry.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders continue to resist the enemy with dignity, conducting defense and inflicting record losses on the enemy.

As a reminder, Russian troops are carrying out a tactical turn through Avdiivka, with the key goal of forcing Ukrainian troops to leave the city. However, there are still Ukrainian soldiers in the town, and this prevents the occupiers from realizing their plans and achieving greater success.

The battle for Avdiivka once again proves the inability of Russian troops to successfully encircle enemy forces, and even if the city is captured, it will not be of operational importance for the overall situation on the battlefield.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Defense Forces are currently using a logistics artery in Avdiivka, Donetsk region, prepared in advance to evacuate the wounded and supply weapons. As of February 15, Avdiivka is not in an operational encirclement, and Ukrainian soldiers continue the defensive operation in this area of the front.
