"Russia came and destroyed everything": an aerial view of Marinka in Donetsk Oblast was posted online. Video
Marinka, a town in Donetsk Oblast that was home to more than 10,000 people until 2022, is now completely destroyed. New aerial footage shows the extent of the destruction.
They show that not a single building has survived, the streets are covered with rubble, and the infrastructure has been reduced to nothing. The video was posted online.
"The town of Marinka, Donetsk region, has been completely destroyed. Until 2022, more than 10 thousand people lived here. Now they are all homeless. Russia came and destroyed everything they had," said journalist Denys Kazanskyi.
Prior to the full-scale invasion, Marinka was the administrative center of the community, located on the Osykova River. In 2022, the city was at the epicenter of hostilities and was subjected to intense shelling. As a result, by November 2022, the entire civilian population was evacuated, and the town itself effectively ceased to exist.
Marinka is another example of the complete destruction of Ukrainian settlements as a result of Russian aggression. The destruction is so extensive that it is unlikely that the town will ever be restored.
Earlier, the network showed what the occupied Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast looks like. This settlement is located next to Maryinka, and before the war, it was home to about 10 thousand people, but after the arrival of the "liberators," there is nowhere else to live there.
