Putin presents a failed breakthrough of a Russian subversive group as a large-scale offensive on the territory of Ukraine. Video

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russian troops crossed the border with Ukraine in the Kursk region. He claims that he was informed about it an hour ago.

Putin said this in a commentary to a Russian propaganda channel. He also said that his troops are "advancing along the entire line of contact."

"The most recent information that I was informed about literally an hour ago is that last night the fighters of the 810th Brigade crossed the border of the Russian Federation and Ukraine and entered the enemy's territory," Putin said.

"And our troops are advancing along the entire front line," the dictator added bravely.

However, these rumors, spread by the Kremlin leader with the help of the media, are greatly exaggerated. The words of the Russian dictator were denied by the head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, Lieutenant Andrii Kovalenko.

As it turned out, Putin "confused" a military brigade of several thousand soldiers with a sabotage and reconnaissance group.

"There was an attempt by a Russian subversive reconnaissance group to enter the territory of Ukraine. The subversive reconnaissance group was destroyed. There is no group of Russian troops capable of carrying out a large-scale offensive on the territory of Ukraine," Kovalenko said on his Telegram channel.

According to him, attempts by Russian subversive reconnaissance groups are frequent, but our defenders destroy them.

"Putin's information about a large-scale Russian offensive is a lie," the head of the Center for Public Policy emphasized.

Ukrainian border guards also refute the Kremlin leader's statements. State Border Guard Service spokesman Andrii Demchenko commented on Putin's hysteria to OBOZ.UA.

"I have no confirmation of such information (as stated by Putin – Ed.). No attempts to break through the border have been recorded in the areas where the border guard units are located," Demchenko said.
