"Putin is not preparing for peace." Zelenskyy reacted to the enemy's new strike on Ukraine and explained what can stop Russia

Another combined attack by Russian troops on Ukraine shows that Russia does not want peace and is not preparing to end the war. In Ukrainian cities, Russian "Shaheds" and ballistic missiles have damaged residential high-rise buildings, offices, and civilian infrastructure, and there are casualties.

The aggressor can only be stopped by taking strong steps and putting pressure on it. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Head of State reacted to the morning attacks of Russian troops, in particular on Kyiv.

"Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones. Apartment buildings, office premises, and civilian infrastructure were damaged. All our services are working on the ground to help people and eliminate the consequences of this terror. Unfortunately, as of now, we know about one dead person in Kyiv. Four others were injured, including a child. My condolences to the families and friends," Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that these attacks, which take place almost every day, are an eloquent testament to the real mood in the Kremlin: they are not interested in ending the war. There is no point in persuading and cajoling the aggressor, he understands only force.

"This Russian terror against Ukraine will not stop by itself. Putin is not preparing for peace – he continues to kill Ukrainians and destroy cities. Only strong steps and pressure on Russia can stop this terror. Right now we need unity and support of all our partners in the struggle for a just end to this war," the President emphasized.

As a reminder, early in the morning, powerful explosions occurred in Kyiv: Russian invaders hit the capital with ballistic missiles. Fires broke out in several districts of Kyiv. One person has been reported dead, and there are also injured, including a 9-year-old girl.

The region near the capital was also hit: in the Obukhiv district, warehouses caught fire due to the Russian attack, and in the Boryspil district, residential buildings were destroyed.

In Kryvyi Rih, a ballistic missile strike damaged infrastructure, houses, and cars.

The Air Force said that on the night and morning of February 12, air defense forces shot down 6 ballistic missiles and 71 UAVs.
