Putin doesn't want negotiations: the Center for Political Studies says how long Russia plans to fight Ukraine

The aggressor country Russia does not really want any serious negotiations to end the conflict. On the contrary, the Kremlin is trying to accumulate resources to wage war until 2027.

This is evidenced not only by the statements of dictator Vladimir Putin, but also by the work of the Russian military-industrial complex. This was stated by Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, on the air of Espresso.

"Russia is not seeking any serious negotiations. I analyze not only Putin's statements, but also the work of the military-industrial complex, economic potential, and the emphasis placed on defense and the continuation of intensive war through 2025, as well as attempts to accumulate resources and distribute it in such a way that they can fight until 2027," he said.

According to Kovalenko, the Kremlin would like to negotiate on Ukraine, but without Ukraine. To do this, Russia uses various constructs of illegitimacy.

"They thought it would work with Donald Trump. Putin apparently does not like Volodymyr Zelenskyy's position, so he is trying to negotiate without him. The Russians are doing everything possible to disrupt the process and blame Ukraine for it, preparing resources to continue the war. I hope that these moves are foreseen not only by us, but also by the new administration of Donald Trump and the European Union," explained the head of the Center for Political Analysis.

He added that the Russian concept of vague constructions is aimed at complicating or making any negotiation process impossible.

In his opinion, Putin can be forced to negotiate only through force and allies who support his actions, including China. If Beijing can be involved in this process and is not on Moscow's side, then the rhetoric of the Russians will change, because they will not be able to continue an intense war without help in circumventing sanctions and supporting their military-industrial complex.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, meanwhile, the German government, according to Bild, believes that the Kremlin may end the war in 2025. One of the reasons pushing Moscow to such a decision is the rapid deterioration of the aggressor country's economy.
