"Production of drones is the main objective": Zelenskyy held a HQ meeting and thanked Air Force for the destruction of a Russian ship in Crimea
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters. In particular, they discussed the production of drones for the Armed Forces and other weapons. In addition, the head of state thanked the Air Force for the destruction of the Russian ship Novocherkassk in occupied Feodosia.
"I held an HQ meeting. A lot of details, mainly about planning for the next year and providing our Defense and Security Forces," Zelenskyy said on his official Telegram channel on December 26.
The President added that at the meeting, he heard reports from the Ministry of Strategy and Defense, the Ministry of Defense, and approvals from the General Staff. They also discussed the distribution of orders and an increase in the number of manufacturers.
"Hundreds of companies are now involved in key production facilities, and I am grateful to every enterprise that provides the desired result for our soldiers. 2024 should be a time of significant growth in domestic defense production. We provide the contracting and budget," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, special attention was paid to the production of all types of necessary drones, including FPVs and ammunition.
"Ukraine must become capable of meeting all the necessary needs for drones," the President said.
The Head of State added that he had also listened to the reports of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the commanders of the directions on the situation at the front, in particular, specific positions and needs were voiced.
"I am grateful to our Air Force for the effective replenishment of the Russian Black Sea submarine fleet with another vessel. There will be no peaceful place for the occupiers in Ukraine," Zelenskyy thanked for the defeat of the Russian landing ship Novocherkassk in Feodosia overnight.

- A powerful explosion was reported in the port of Feodosia in the occupied Crimea at night, after which a fire broke out and detonation began. A tall column of black smoke rose above the explosion site, and windows were smashed in nearby houses.
- Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk said that the occupiers' large landing ship Novocherkassk was joining the missile cruiser Moskva. He thanked the Ukrainian pilots for their precise work.
- The Russian Federation acknowledged the defeat of the Novocherkassk and claimed to have destroyed "two Ukrainian Su-24s" that launched the missiles, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces denied it. Crimea's governor Aksenov reported one killed and two wounded.
