In an interview with the French TV channel LCI, Petro Poroshenko emphasized that any attempts by Putin to accuse Ukraine of the Moscow terrorist attack are another cynical lie of the terrorist state that has been killing Ukrainians for 10 years in a row.

This was reported by the press service of the European Solidarity.

Poroshenko: Putin thinks and acts like a terrorist because he is one

"There is no evidence that Ukrainians were involved in this terrorist attack in any way. There have been many cases since Putin's first days in power. I want to remind everyone of the case called "Rostov sugar", when the Russian FSB under Putin's leadership planted explosives in the basements of civilian buildings in Russia in order to blow them up and cause the greatest number of victims that would allow Putin to move to dictatorship and authoritarianism," Poroshenko said.

"I would like to emphasize that President Macron absolutely rightly stated that blaming Ukraine is cynical, and I quote verbatim and counterproductive. The White House has clearly emphasized that there is no intelligence, direct or covert reason to believe that Ukraine has anything to do with this," Poroshenko said.

"I emphasize that today the methods of struggle used by terrorists are owned, carried out and implemented by a criminal whose name is Putin. If you recall the Mariupol drama theater, the maternity hospital in Mariupol, the crimes in Bucha, in Hostomel, in Trostianets, around Chernihiv, the attack on the shopping center in Kremenchuk, on the Kramatorsk railway station, the strikes in Vinnytsia, the crimes in Odesa – everywhere Putin kills dozens and dozens of Ukrainian civilians with missiles," Poroshenko reminded.

"Putin is a terrorist and a murderer, Putin should be in the Hague. And I think that the first step, when a warrant for his arrest was issued, is a step in the right direction," Petro Poroshenko said.

"Putin's attacks on Ukraine began 10 years ago. Over the past 2 years, more than 1000 missiles have been launched at civilian targets in Ukraine. And the only position that can be understood by the whole world is the fact that Putin thinks like a terrorist, Putin acts like a terrorist, and this means that Putin is a terrorist," Poroshenko emphasized.

"My appeal to the French, to the Europeans, to the citizens of NATO member states: we need to maintain strategic unity. Because only our unity, only support for Ukraine, only the determination of our actions, only speaking the language of strength will allow us to stop Putin and save the continent. Putin is weakening, Putin does not know what to do. Putin will never be intimidated by us, and as long as we believe in our victory, Putin is doomed. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about as the president of a country that has been holding back Russian troops for five years, not allowing them to advance further," Petro Poroshenko said.
