In the south of Ukraine, the intensity of enemy shelling decreased somewhat, partly because the Russian military had to withdraw and reconfigure in new defense positions. At the same time, the occupiers concentrated their strikes on the rear regions.

Natalia Gumenyuk, the speaker of the Defense Forces in the south of Ukraine, told this on the air of an all-Ukrainian telethon on June 14. According to her, the invaders are trying to use the most powerful and destructive shells.

"The intensity of the shelling has dropped somewhat, also because they had to pull back their positions and readjust to new defensive lines. In particular, there were 38 shellings during that day. While previously we recorded 50-70 shelling per day, this figure is somewhat lower now. And the enemy is trying to use the most powerful shells that will cause more destruction," Gumenyuk said.

She added that the enemy continues shelling the right bank of the Kherson region, where humanitarian evacuations from flooded areas are taking place. In particular, on June 13, Kherson was attacked 4 times, also under fire were Kizomis and Bilozerka.

"The activity of the enemy's longer-range attacks is aimed precisely at those rear regions, which, according to the enemy's understanding, should be a resource supply zone for the front line," Gumenyuk said.

According to her, there was activity of Russian missile launchers in the Black Sea during the night: the enemy launched two surface and one submarine with a total salvo of up to 20 Kalibers.
