Occupiers installed machine gun nests on the roofs of ZNPP power units: Energoatom says of the danger
The Russian military has placed machine gun nests on the roofs of the Zaporizhzhia NPP power units. Thus, new satellite images may also indicate that the occupiers have placed explosives on the roofs.
This was stated by the president of NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin during the TV marathon "Unified News". He also expressed the opinion that the technogenic disaster at the Kakhovska hydroelectric power plant testifies to the possibility of similar actions of the occupants at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
"We know that machine gun nests were placed on the roofs of several power units. These new images may also indicate that there may be explosives on the roofs. Of course, given the quality of the photo, it is impossible to say for sure what exactly is there," Kotin stressed.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russian side has all the necessary technical preparations for a possible local explosion at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This could be done in order to stop the counteroffensive actions of the Ukrainian defense forces and create political pressure on Kyiv from some partners.
We would like to remind you that the occupants deliberately violate a number of basic requirements for the operation of the power unit and increase the risk of an accident at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The refusal of Russian terrorists to transfer Zaporizhzhia NPP's fifth power unit to a "cold shutdown" state could lead to an accident and a large-scale release of radiation.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, the explosion at the Zaporizhzhia NPP could put populated areas within a radius of 30 km, in particular, in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, at risk of radiation contamination. The population will learn about the disaster from special warning systems, which will work even in the absence of the Internet.
