Occupants attack Sumy region's border again: there is a victim. Photo

Russian occupation forces attacked the border of Sumy region again. A man died as a result of the attack.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office. Thus, on 13 July 2023, at about 12:30, the Russian occupiers, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, fired mortar shells from the territory of the Russian Federation at the Velykopysarivska community of the Okhtyrka district.

As a result, a man was killed on the territory of his own household. He was a 60-year-old resident of Popivka.

Under the procedural supervision of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is ongoing.

It should be noted that on 4 July in Sumy region, Russian war criminals killed two civilians in a border settlement and wounded another. The occupiers opened fire on civilians when they tried to enter Ukrainian territory.
