Minus 700 KABs: the Lipetsk airfield was hit by SSU drones. New details

Last night, the SSU, in cooperation with the Armed Forces and the Special Forces, conducted a powerful strike on the Russian military airfield "Lipetsk-2". Several dozen fighters, helicopters, and warehouses with more than 700 guided aerial bombs were located on the territory of the airfield.

This was reported by OBOZ.UA, citing its own sources. After the Ukrainian drone strike, a massive explosion occurred at the airfield, causing a chain detonation of ammunition and a large-scale fire over a large part of the territory.

Local authorities confirmed the detonation and announced the evacuation of residents of nearby settlements for fear of further explosions and fire spread.

Most of the aircraft stationed at the Lipetsk-2 airfield did not have time to take off before the explosion.

"The SSU, in cooperation with the Defense Forces, continues methodical work to destroy Russian aviation logistics so that the enemy does not have the opportunity to bomb Ukrainian cities with drones. In early August, we cleared Morozovsk airfield of UAVs and fighter jets, and today it is the turn of Lipetsk-2. We are continuing to work," the source said.

It is worth noting that the attack on the military airfield in Lipetsk is confirmed by NASA satellite data.

In particular, the fire near the airfield was detected by NASA FIRMS satellites that track fires on Earth.

It is noted that the Lipetsk Aviation Center, a structural unit of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which retrains flight and engineering personnel of combat units, as well as develops and implements methods of combat use of aviation systems, was hit by the Ukrainian attack.

According to media reports, a column of Russian armored vehicles was destroyed on the march near the village of Oktyabrskoye, Rylsky district, a fire broke out at the arrival site, and detonation sounds were heard.

It was also noisy in the area of the Belbek airfield in the northwest of Sevastopol. The invaders tried to shoot down unknown targets near the military airfield with a large-caliber machine gun. However, it did not work.
