Situation in Luhansk region escalates

The situation in the Luhansk direction has escalated. Locals are agreeing to evacuate to safer areas more often.

In particular, 4 people were evacuated from Novoliubivka village yesterday: 49, 35, and 45-year-old men and a 29-year-old woman. This was reported by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Artem Lysohjor on Telegram,

He clarified that the Krasnorechensk Military Administration will take care of the everyday issues of these citizens, if necessary. At the same time, Lysohor added that some residents continue to refuse to evacuate, putting themselves in danger. But, according to him, the authorities do not leave such people behind and try to help them.

Meanwhile, the occupants continue to shell Luhansk region's localities regularly. Yesterday, the enemy fired at Nevske, Makiivka, and Bilohorivka with artillery and mortars. They also attacked Bilohorivka with aircraft.

Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian attacks in the area of Nadiia and enemy offensive attempts east of Nevske.

As a reminder, the Russians have begun to actively move equipment and manpower to the Kupiansk direction of the frontline. The vehicles are being moved from the temporarily occupied Luhansk, where they are facing resistance. These include tilt-top military trucks, armored vehicles with machine guns, "loafers" and a gazelle carrying barrels of fuel.

- On October 15, an explosion occurred in the temporarily occupied Luhansk. A column of smoke rose in the Kamianobridsky district in the north of the regional center.

- Earlier, it was reported that Russians are preparing for active offensive actions in the Luhansk and Kharkiv regions.
