"Knees will be shaking": the Air Force told about a significant advantage of the Patriot SAM

The Ukrainian Air Force has highlighted a significant advantage of using Patriot SAM in the war against Russia. This is the psychological effect on the soldiers of the Russian army.

This was announced by the Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat. The Air Force called on the West to provide Ukraine with more of this type of weapon.

Ihnat said that installing the Patriot system on the border is not the best option, as it could be hit by Russian artillery. However, deploying the system at a certain distance from the border could still play an important role, even from a moral point of view, in some areas.

"A Su-35 pilot, knowing that he is potentially within the range of such a system... His knees will already be shaking. He will react to this, the self-preservation factor. He will think: "I'll launch that bomb earlier, 10-15 kilometres away, who will know?" And it will fall somewhere in Belgorod... And if the complexes start destroying them... I think this will happen," Ignat said.

However, as the Armed Forces spokesman noted, the contact line is very long, and the Patriot system can operate reliably within a radius of over 100-150 kilometres.

Ihnat called on Western partners to provide Ukraine with more Patriot systems.

- The spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force explained that the Patriot system will allow the Ukrainian army to push Russian enemy aircraft further away from Ukraine's borders. The Ukrainian Defence Forces have already received this air defence system from Germany.
