Information important for Ukrainian intelligence collected during operation in Belgorod region - Yusov

A representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that valuable information for Ukrainian intelligence was collected during the operation in the Belgorod region. Currently, the task of Russian volunteers is to liberate Russia from President Putin's regime.

Yusov spoke about this on the air of the New Countdown project. He said that the opposition forces operate both in the villages of Russia's borderlands and in the Russian capital.

"Their task now, if we are talking about the Belgorod region, is to liberate these lands from the domination of the Putin regime, which for the inhabitants of these territories - representatives of different peoples, different nationalities - is obviously a regime of internal occupation," he explained.

Yusov also stressed that Ukrainians should not overestimate Moscow's reaction to the operation of the Russian Freedom Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps in the Belgorod region in the context of current events on the frontline. However, he noted that the Russian leadership was forced to regroup its troops in response to the guerrilla movement in the region. He described the breakthrough of volunteers across the border as an inevitable consequence of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine said that a significant amount of valuable information was collected during the operation in Belgorod region for Ukrainian military intelligence. Some of this data, which he called "the king is naked", is now known to the whole world. According to Yusov, the relevant information points to the exhaustion of Putin's power apparatus and Russia's unpreparedness for an internal attack.

Earlier it was reported that Russia was embarrassed by the "show" of mopping up "saboteurs" in the Belgorod region. Thus, a Twitter user explained online why the photo posted as evidence of the defeat of volunteer troops in Belgorod was actually staged.
