"I don't even want to think about it": former NATO Secretary-General explains what will happen to the world if Ukraine loses the war with Russia

Ukraine can win the war against the Russian occupiers. If the Russian Federation wins, the consequences will spread to other countries as Moscow, Beijing, Pyongyang and Tehran will "create a new world order."

Former NATO Secretary-General (1999-2004), British politician George Robertson shared his opinion on the prospects of a full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war in an interview with the Austrian newspaper Die Presse. Commenting on the consequences for the North Atlantic Alliance if Ukraine loses, he said,

"I don't even want to think about it. Ukraine can win this war, and one day it can become a member of the EU and NATO. But if [Vladimir] Putin wins the war, then Russia, China, North Korea and Iran will create a new world order, and then we will all be in a very uncomfortable position."

A scenario in which Russia wins would be "dramatic," Robertson added.

The Russian Federation may not dare to directly attack NATO member states. However, "there is no doubt that Russia would be much more aggressive in the so-called gray zone if it won the war. This includes cyberattacks, election manipulation, organized crime, and attacks on critical infrastructure."

Earlier, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, who visited Kyiv on April 15, admitted that the West is not doing enough to help Ukraine in the war against the Russian occupiers.

Earlier, Estonian Chief of the General Staff Enno Mits believes that the Russian Armed Forces are using the so-called amoebic tactics in the war against Ukraine as the invaders are unable to make a deep breakthrough. The enemy has to experiment with smaller forces and hope for success.
