Hundreds of planes, thousands of tanks and 300 thousand soldiers: Stoltenberg announces enormous losses of Russia in Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that the Russian army suffered enormous losses during the full-scale war in Ukraine. It is not only about the personnel, whose casualties have long been estimated at hundreds of thousands, but also about expensive military equipment.
The politician said this during a press conference at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Ukrinform reports. He noted that these are significant losses for Moscow, some of which are irreparable.
"In military terms, Russia has lost a significant part of its conventional armed forces - hundreds of aircraft, thousands of tanks and human losses of more than 300 thousand people," the head of the North Atlantic bloc explained.
According to Stoltenberg, the Alliance recognizes Ukraine's current achievements on the battlefield, despite the fact that the front line is hardly moving. According to him, the allies are impressed by the bravery and professionalism of Ukrainian defenders and their ability to hit the rear of the occupiers.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the day before, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 860 servicemen of the Russian army. The enemy was also deprived of a number of military equipment and weapons.
