On the night of January 29, Ukrainian soldiers attacked Lukoil's oil depot in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, with drones. The attack was carried out by soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

All four drones that flew to the facility hit the target, and the tank farm was heavily damaged. This was reported to OBOZ.UA by military intelligence sources, and confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The source confirmed that last night the DIU soldiers conducted a successful attack on the Lukoil oil depot in Kstovo. The facility, which supports the activities of the Russian occupation forces, was hit around midnight local time.

Russians living in Kstovo wrote on social media that they heard "at least three" explosions at the enterprise.

The intelligence community assures us that the Russians are not good at math: all four drones that were aimed at the tank farm hit the tank farm.

According to OBOZ.UA's intelligence sources, the oil depot suffered significant damage as a result of the attack. This can be seen even in the footage of a large-scale fire at the enterprise that appeared on Russian social media.

"The refinery in Kstovo, which was hit, is capable of processing 15 to 17 million tons of oil per year. It can be called the fourth largest in Russia. It produces gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, and bitumen. It is important for the Russian army," said Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation.
