Former SOF Commander Khorenko: the main thing for me is to be honest, a wolf can hunt alone

Before leaving office, former Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Khorenko outlined the key principles of his service and life. These are the seven theses he set as an example for his soldiers and colleagues.

The list of rather radical rules was published on the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The footage shows episodes of Khorenko's service, as well as excerpts from the interview (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the page).

1. There are many good leaders in offices. But troops are not commanded from offices. Not without experience.

2. To understand how to defeat the enemy, you need to kill at least one personally. I have killed many.

3. My main goal is to fight the enemies of Ukraine. I don't know if you will hear anything about my struggle, because I have never done it ostentatiously. And I will continue to fight.

4. I am not public, I do not play politics. The meaning of my life is revenge on the enemies of Ukraine.

5. The main thing for me is to be honest. I've always been honest and open with my soldiers. The main thing is to be able to express your own opinion to each other, to be able to listen.

6. The only thing I can regret is that I did not complete the planned operations, did not support those who relied on me. But this does not depend on me, although I cannot help but feel responsible for my people.

7. It is difficult to leave your pack as a leader. But a wolf can hunt alone. The main thing is that there is always someone to hunt, we have enough enemies.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Khorenko said he had no idea why he was fired. According to his own words, he learned about the dismissal of the SOF commander by President Zelensky's decision from the media.
