In the evening of 29 July, explosions occurred in Sumy. Russian missiles hit an educational institution. One person was killed and one injured.
According to an OBOZREVATEL correspondent, a total of three explosions were heard. Monitoring publics also reported explosions in the area. Later, the local Regional Military Administration also reported a hit.
"Sumy - smoke has risen... Russian terrorists have launched a missile attack on an educational institution in Sumy," the reports said.
According to the RMA, all the necessary services are working at the arrival site. Information on the damage and casualties is currently being clarified.
"We remind you! Do not post photos or videos of the impact site or the response operations. Do not ignore air raid warnings," the local authorities urged.
Later it became known that the blast wave damaged the Church of the Presentation of the Cross in the region.
"According to the rector, Archpriest Anatoly Poloz, the roof of the dome was damaged, windows in the church and the church premises of the Sunday school were smashed. Thank God, there were no casualties," local publics write.
As of half past one on 30 July, one person was reported dead.
"So far, we know from the police. 1 person is dead. 5 people are wounded," the statement said.
The police confirmed that on the evening of 29 July, an enemy missile hit the educational institution. Law enforcement officers are working at the scene to record the consequences.
"Unfortunately, there were some casualties, at least 1 civilian was killed and 5 wounded. Police, rescuers and medics are working at the scene, and the fire is being extinguished. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Violation of the laws and customs of war", the statement said.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, on 15 July, around 23:15, explosions were heard in Sumy. No air alert was declared in the region.
