On the morning of December 20, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Donetsk. An attack was reported on the building of the "DNR Ministry of State Security" on Shevchenko Boulevard, where the occupiers held and tortured prisoners, including journalist Stanislav Aseyev.
Russian air defense was operating in the occupied regional center. This was reported by Russian media and Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi.
"There are arrivals in Donetsk. The building of the "DPR MSS" on Shevchenko Boulevard was attacked. The former Institute of Metals. Journalist and writer Stas Aseyev was previously held and tortured there. And literally, ten steps from this place is the university where I studied," Kazanskyi wrote.
He also published a video from the scene, shot by eyewitnesses, which shows the destruction of the building where the invaders set up a torture chamber.
According to the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, the building that housed the largest torture chamber in the occupied part of Donetsk region is now home to the Russian FSS.
Meanwhile, Russian propaganda media write that "the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Donetsk."
"At first, residents heard air defense systems working. A few minutes later, there were several explosions. Preliminary, one of the shells landed in the area of Shevchenko Boulevard," one of the publicists said.
As a reminder, the other day, SSU drones destroyed an enemy ammunition depot in the Donetsk region. The target was an artillery and mortar depot near Markino in the enemy's deep rear, near the border with Russia.
The depot was on fire and detonating all night.
