President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine lacks air defense and that all the weapons needed to deter Russian aggression should be delivered on time, without delays. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also need long-range weapons.

The Head of State made this statement at a press conference with European leaders who visited Ukraine on the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. The conversation with the media was broadcast on YouTube.

"What is lacking is that everything is, as they say, in time, when it is really needed. This is the first thing. Secondly, it is very difficult for everyone, of course, no offense intended. However, there is a lack of air defense for Ukraine, for civilians and for everyone. It's important for the frontline, but it's just very difficult to protect children, schools, universities, hospitals without air defense. It is important for everyone to concentrate all their efforts on this," Zelenskyy said.

The Head of State also emphasized the need for long-range weapons.

"We need long-range weapons as the Russians are at such a distance that they can hit our people, and we cannot adequately respond to them," he said.

In addition, the President emphasized the importance of isolating Russian President Vladimir Putin, including through sanctions.

"If we are talking about political isolation and sanctions, we must clearly understand that it should be real isolation, without  any contracts behind his back and even without signing any economic relations with him because he spends all these benefits on war. It's not very reasonable: to help Ukraine and to make money with this murderer at the same time," he emphasized.

Zelenskyy specified that sanctions should be imposed "against the real list of perpetrators of this war; against those who use various tools, including energy tools against Ukraine, who make money from this war."
