DIU: fighting is taking place in Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine commented on the situation in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia, which includes the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), and the Siberian Battalion. Thus, the intelligence service stated that active hostilities are ongoing there.

This was reported by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, in a commentary to Suspilne. It should be noted that the soldiers reported that they had entered the Russian border on March 12.

"According to our data, active hostilities are taking place in the Kursk and Belgorod regions," he said.

Also, the DIU Telegram channel published an intercepted conversation from the Hraivoron direction in Belgorod region, where a civilian reported arriving at the local administration.

"The district administration is on fire, it almost flew into the office," the Russian said.

Earlier, the RVC reported that the fighters managed to advance several dozen kilometers deeper into the territory of the Russian Federation. Also, the RVC Chief of Staff, Alexander "Fortuna," said that the fighters managed to capture the occupiers, who were handed over to the Ukrainian side to replenish the exchange fund.

The RVC also announced new raids on Russian territory: "We have a large number of different scenarios with varying degrees of readiness."

According to "Fortuna", the RVC has no losses in the Belgorod region, and "as for Russia, their losses are both in personnel and equipment," but specific figures will be announced later.

Earlier it was reported that in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, clashes between volunteer groups and the regular army of the Russian Federation continue. The Freedom of Russia Legion announced the destruction of CB warehouses in the Kursk region.
